Plant name: Urginea indica
Chemical constituents: bitter glucosidal substances Scillitoxin, Scillipicrin and Scillin. Other constituents are mucilaginous and saccharine matter, including a peculiar mucilaginous carbohydrate named Sinistrin, an Inulin-like substance. Calcium oxalate is also present.
Uses:
In Arthritis , rheumatism, etc.
In cutaneous, subcutaneous parasitic infection
Used treate cancer and tumours.
Also used in dropsy, swellings, oedema, gout; heart; pulmonary troubles.
